About Me

I'm the voice behind Growth Journey — and this isn't just a fitness page. It's a lifestyle built from struggle, faith, and showing up every single day.

I spent years running from my problems. Depression hit me in December 2022 and almost broke me. Instead, I chose to rebuild — from my body to my mindset. I shaved my head, found my way back to God, and started over.

Today I train with purpose, eat to fuel my body, and share real stories so others know they're not alone in their journey.

Growth starts when you stop running and start building.

Early Life

I was a skinny kid from Sabah, raised in Johor for 17 years. Nobody looked at me and saw an athlete. Nobody looked at me and saw someone who had it together because I didn't.

In August 2017 I moved to Thailand to study at AIU. First time away from home. First time truly on my own. And then I walked into a gym for the first time.
 

People laughed. I don't blame them. I was skinny as hell and had no idea what I was doing. I didn't know the exercises, didn't know the form, didn't know anything. I just knew I wanted to change. So I kept showing up. That's it. That's the whole secret.

But the gym couldn't fix everything. In December 2022 I hit my lowest point. Depression crept in and knocked me down hard. I felt lost, disconnected, and exhausted from pretending I was okay. That month I shaved my head as a symbol. A reset. I found my way back to God, back to myself, and decided that running from my problems was over. Growth begins when you stop running and start facing.
 

April 2023. New city. New chapter. Penang became the place where everything started coming together. Body, mind, and purpose. I trained harder, ate better, and built habits that actually stuck. I launched Growth Journey not because I had it all figured out but because I knew someone out there needed to hear a real story, not a perfect one.

People used to laugh at how skinny I was. Now I show up every single day in the gym, in life, in faith as the best version of myself I have ever been. And I am not done yet.

Quads, hamstrings and glutes. The day most people skip. Don't skip it. Strong legs carry everything else.
